GHTI and ECETE Join Forces for Excellent Theological Training

In an act of faith, commitment, and shared vision for ministerial training, the Global Harvest Theological Institute (GHTI), based in Las Vegas, USA, and the Cuban School of Evangelical Theological Studies (ECETE), based in Placetas, Villa Clara, Cuba, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that marks a milestone in international theological cooperation.

This agreement, signed on May 23, 2025, stems from the mutual desire to establish a solid academic collaboration based on fidelity to the Scriptures, missional commitment, and educational excellence. Highlights include:

• The accreditation of the Bachelor of Theology and Master of Christian Ministry programs, allowing for cross-validation of degrees and academic mobility for students
• The implementation of a dual degree system, through which students can receive certification from both GHTI and ECETE.
• The sharing and adaptation of academic materials and curricula, maintaining common standards of theological and pedagogical rigor.
• The development of asynchronous classes, facilitated by GHTI's virtual platform, to expand access to theological training in both regions and the world.
• The formal implementation of the agreement beginning in the 2026 academic year, with a projection of long-term consolidation.

This agreement not only strengthens the institutional bond between both institutions but also represents a concrete contribution to the growth of Christian leadership in challenging contexts.

Our Academic Coordinator of Joint Projects, Danay Hernández, MTh., will be key in ensuring the effective implementation of each of the commitments made.

We would like to publicly thank the leaders who have made this alliance possible: Dr. Yaniel Marrero Báez and Dr. Lisette Hernández Martínez from ECETE; and Mario Alsina, MTh., along with Dr. Fernando Argumedo from GHTI.

Their visionary leadership and spirit of cooperation bear witness to what God can do when God's people work together.

Today we celebrate a significant step toward contextualized, accessible, and transformative theological education. May this agreement be only the beginning of many works that glorify the Lord and build up His Church.
